Community Service
Community service is integral to Guardian Angel life. We believe that every community benefits by the involvement of its members. Our programs encourage individuals of every age to invest time and energy in their neighborhoods, and provide role models and examples of active participation.. Young people invest by working on graffiti paint-outs, park clean-ups, and participate in diversity awareness activities. Adults volunteer to feed the homeless, help with disaster relief, and learn first aid to better be prepared to help their communities.
Educational Initiatives
Angels in schools work with children, encouraging them to stand up against bullying, to take pride in their school and to choose paths in life that embrace education and positive contributions to society while resisting gangs, crime, and violence.

The Guardian Angels welcomes the opportunity to partner with committed businesses and individuals who are interested in sponsoring educational programs. These programs provide an excellent way for businesses to give back to their local communities, while encouraging the healthy development of the next generation of the workforce.


SAFETY PATROLS


The red beret of The Guardian Angels organization has become an icon for safety around the world.
In each safety patrol chapter, Guardian Angels volunteers safeguard streets, subways and other public areas. From dusk until dawn, without weapons, these committed volunteers help to ensure that citizens can enjoy their communities without fearing for their safety. The Guardian Angels attend community festivals and other large gatherings to deter criminal elements from disrupting the celebrations. Guardian Angels volunteers are also on call 24/7 and support the community whenever they are needed.

A unique feature of The Guardian Angels approach is the group's inclusion of inner city youth in the safety patrols. By making young people part of the solution rather than casting them as part of the problem, The Guardian Angels empowers youth to take pride in their communities and contribute to the safety of their neighborhoods.
